1. Click to Create an Account

To begin the application process, please click the "Create an Account" tab at the top of this page to create an application account. From there, you will be instructed to create a login, password, and verify your email via a message to your email account.

2. Click to Start Application

You have the flexibility to log in and out of your application account without losing your data as it will autosave. There will be a green check mark for each section once you have completed all required fields.

3. Review and Submit

Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select "Review & Submit." 

4. Request/Submit Required Documents

All students interested in applying for the Dominican Academy Class of 2028 must submit both a copy of the TACHS Applicant Record and a copy of our online application.  Please be sure that all required documents are provided to the admissions office:

  • For students attending a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of New York or the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Queens or Rockville Centre: Your current school will help you submit the student’s grades through the TACHS Applicant Record.

  • For students attending a public, private, or non-diocesan school: complete Section A of the Applicant Record which can be found in the TACHS information booklet or on the TACHS website. Submit the Applicant Record to the student’s eighth grade principal, teacher, or counselor, who will then complete the remaining three sections and send the student’s records to Dominican Academy. We suggest you provide your teacher with a stamped addressed envelope.

  • Submit Optional Materials: Supplemental materials such as personal statements, parent statements, resumes, and recommendations from teachers are often helpful, but not required to be considered for admission. You may submit these materials electronically to admissions@dominicanacademy.org, by fax to 212-744-0375, or by mail clearly marked to the Attention of the Admissions Office. All supplemental application materials (Applicant Records, Letters of Recommendation, Letters of Explanation) for prospective 9th grade students must be submitted by Friday, December 15, 2023 either electronically to admissions@dominicanacademy.org or by mail to the attention of the Admissions Office: Dominican Academy, 44 East 68th Street, New York, NY 10065.  You may also chose to submit an additional short statement if you are unable to place Dominican Academy first as your TACHS choice, but would still like to be considered for our Scholarship Exam.

  • Complete the financial aid form (optional): Families interested in the possibility of need-based financial aid must submit a financial aid form electronically through School & Student Services (SSS) no later than December 15, 2023.
